My life has always been a array of disorganization and clutter. Always frenzied, looking for missing keys or lost papers. In a rush to go somewhere, I have had a nasty habit of just tossing what I have in hand and rushing out the door. Do I still do this? Yes..it's a work in progress
I have found that clutter can add a huge stress point to my life. I look into my mirror and question that woman looking back at me, looking way too stressed out.
"Ok Jill, enoughs enough. What can you do to make this better?"
With spring here and spring cleaning at hand...it's time to remove the junk and organize my life! My life, my job, over anything else, is my home. I am the homemaker(proverbs 31). The person in charge of making sure everything runs smoothly, calmly(ha!), and clean.
Sure, there are many days we can just accept it won't happen, but others we need to tackle it a few minutes at a time. Don't throw yourself in and load yourself with even more stress, as I have done before. But take it slowly and patiently. I've spent my entire life in disorganization, so it will take time to clean it and learn a new habit. Is it possible? I know it is. Why? Because I am walking evidence of Gods abilities to transform our old self into new.
He is the master organizer.
I mean, He took my life, flipped it upside down, decluttered all the junk, and ever patiently, bit by bit, replaced it with new, good things.
My life is a walking testimony of Gods wonderful grace.
So, take Gods methods for remodeling as an example for your spring cleaning today.
As He does it with love and patience, I plan to also.
Today, instead of a frenzied, stressed out mom, I will declutter
my life little by little..with a smile on my face and a positive outlook on my life!
Proverbs 31(partial) from the Message..
A good woman is hard to find,
and worth far more than diamonds.
Her husband trusts her without reserve,
and never has reason to regret it.
Never spiteful, she treats him generously
all her life long.
She shops around for the best yarns and cottons,
and enjoys knitting and sewing.
She’s like a trading ship that sails to faraway places
and brings back exotic surprises.
She’s up before dawn, preparing breakfast
for her family and organizing her day.
She looks over a field and buys it,
then, with money she’s put aside, plants a garden.
First thing in the morning, she dresses for work,
rolls up her sleeves, eager to get started.
She senses the worth of her work,
is in no hurry to call it quits for the day.
She’s skilled in the crafts of home and hearth,
diligent in homemaking.
She’s quick to assist anyone in need,
reaches out to help the poor.
Now as for the smoothie.
Part of being an oh so good mom and "homemaker" is learning to disguise those greens into something sweet!
.Im getting creative with my smoothie packets in the fridge haha
SOOO you get a jumble of my creations ;)
