So it was a sacrifice I had to take..and now, as time has passed, I now yearn for the time to come for it to be Sabbath. A time I can finally breathe, rest, and truly enjoy my family.
Such a blessing I could have missed out on.
In matthew, Jesus beseeches us to watch carefully for anything at all that may stand in our way of being saved. Is there something in your life your holding onto that is hampering you from giving your life totally to Christ like it was for me and my work? The wise words given today is an example of what we should do when this happens...and how critical it is that we need to let it go before its too late. True,we could die today..but also, if we say, in time I will change..perhaps, in time, we won't. Perhaps in time, we can grow farther and farther away, that we will forget it all together. Be careful and listen to God speaking to you...before it is muffled out by the world and the guilt no longer there..
Verse to remember-
You need to deal radically with whatever stands in your way of being saved, even if it means losing something as valuable as a hand or a foot. It's better to be physically handicapped or less successful in this life then to lose out on the next. If, for example your eye causes you to sin, be willing to lose your eye if necessary rather than to lose out on heaven. If you must make a choice, it is better to forego greatness in this life than to be consumed by the fire of Gods judgement.
