Little did she know what awaited her if she just walked into the trailer. To know that she would be back with her "mom"(me) daily. The pampering she would experience and the beautiful new pasture she would have. Before, all she had was dirt for land to roam...now she would have grass in abundance.
But we couldn't communicate that to her so she was in no mood to get on this strange contraption. Unfortunately, we had to pull and force her on, causing her to get banged up and sore. It could have been such an easy thing, if she just walked onto it. This reminded me on how much this reflects on our walk with God. He doesn't force us to go or do what He wants, but lovingly tries to guide us in the right direction. We can be just like my horse was, feet stubbornly planted in our spot and refusing to budge. Because of our stubbornness, we can get banged up and bruised with sin from this world...and we only did it to ourselves. Little do we realize what promises await us, if we, just like my mare, let go, and let God lead us. The wonders of His glorious promises and love are at our reach.
Which way will I go today? I hope to let go and let God lead me..for I am tired of being stubborn and refusing to budge, tired of getting banged up and bruised when my Lord is right there to lead me out safely.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you. Ponder the path of your feet; then all your ways will be sure. Do not swerve to the right or to the left; turn your foot away from evil.
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Now for todays yummy smoothie..I did this one in steps..and for you out there with a blender that isnt super tough, I would recommend buying carrot juice...
