The people, my friends, He has brought into my life, mean more to me then I can even attempt to say. Their words and actions speak volumes to me. I have had moments when I have felt like an utterly failed parent and they lift me up. Times I have felt so lonely as a single mom, and their words of encouragement help me to press on.
I remember times where I have had a really hard week and when I went to church, they had brought something special for me to lift me up like flowers for my house and or my favorite tea. These simple kind gestures brought tears to my eyes. The love I searched for and acceptance I yearned for for years, God has blessed me abundantly with.
All I had to do was let God into my life and He brought all my desires and more.
Life will never be easy, as I have said before, but God knows this, and brings these such friends into our lives to help us along the way. They don't bring me down but lift me up, bringing me ever closer to my Lord.
Some have similar stories as mine and can relate to my struggles, can help me up when I fall down. They don't judge me or criticize me..... To me, in every action of love and kindness, my friends show me Christ.
Show me how I need to be for them. This is what friendship is. This is the promise that Christ gives in our lives. To bring such people to help us through. He is with us through them. He promises never to leave us or forsake us..and I believe with all my heart, that, also. through my friends and my family, He is right by my side.
Now lets talk about our smoothie for the day.
After digging through my freezer(Need to go the grocery store!!) I was able to scrounge about todays smoothie ingredients.
As spring rolls around the corner, I eagerly await the fresh peaches that become available around June. I am blessed to be only a few miles away from a peach orchard and so I freeze TONS of peaches each year fro smoothies. My kids LOVE them and needless to say I run out before peach season each year. ;)
