Then I felt a cold splash hit my cheek..then another, and another. The rain started steadily coming down, the coolness giving me an extra spurt of energy to keep going. Don't stop. Before I knew it, I was done. I had completed my run.
Everyday we can go through life like this. Start into a task and midway wonder what in the world we got ourselves into. For me, my walk with God, my writing, is like that. To the point where I stop, questioning myself, over and over. Question am I worthy to represent my Lord? I fail over and over but again He calls me to work. I can grow weary, wondering if it's worth it. Then, like when I was running, raindrops from God help me to continue on. Little did Margie know that posting her comment on my blog was raindrops to my life. Her words an encouragement to keep writing. I thank you for that if you are reading this To me, you are also a messenger from God. Using you to help another servant of His. Then God brings special people into our lives that care about what we do...encourage each step along the way. Pushing us ever more to the goal. They, too, are Gods messengers. This is a lesson for me, to be like that. To not be so self aware of just me, but ever more vocal to others, encouraging them in the path of Christ. To help them keep going, don't stop. For the finish line draws near..and if we all lift each other up, we will make it.
Jesus is at the finish line, arms open wide, to welcome us home.
1 Thessalonians 5:11
Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.
1 Corinthians 14:26
What then, brothers? When you come together, each one has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Let all things be done for building up.
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
